Lie direction adjustment

STEP THREE — Lie & Slope Adjustment (Direction-Wise Only)

The lie and slope influence starting direction and side curvature (left/right).
Exact directional change is very difficult to judge and depends on each player, their swing, and confidence.
These are average recommendations —
the player must always make the final adjustment by feel.

A. Slope Influence – Direction Effects

1. Ball Above Feet

  • Effect: Clubface points left naturally
  • Direction Tendency:
    • Ball starts left
    • Often curves left
  • Recommendation:
    • Aim right of the target
    • More slope = more adjustment
    • Player must judge severity

2. Ball Below Feet

  • Effect: Clubface points right
  • Direction Tendency:
    • Ball starts right
    • Often curves right
  • Recommendation:
    • Aim left of the target
    • More slope = more adjustment
    • Player judges how much

Simple Summary (Exact Same Formula, Simplified)

  • Good lie = Normal direction
  • Above feet = Ball goes left → Aim right
  • Below feet = Ball goes right → Aim left
